Hello
Mellow by Midnight write and perform all original music. Primarily rooted in lofi, their sonic palette also covers elements of jazz, hip-hop and future bass. Coupled with Oli’s recognisable improvisation style layered on top, the result is a soft and mellifluous sound world.
The set up was flawless and the sets were fantastic. The combination of Fraser on the decks and Oli’s melodic accompaniment kept the party going all night.

Fraser Birchenall’s versatility as a DJ, performer and producer has given him a wealth of experience not only in the studio, but additionally in the live entertainment industry: his DJ résumé exhibits a wide array of involvements. These range from several residencies around the Midlands including high-end restaurants and raves, to freelancing for corporate events, weddings and private parties. He particularly enjoys improving his transition work in creative ways, and is always experimenting blending multiple tracks and styles together to create exciting mixes and playlists for his clientele.
As a saxophonist, he has performed alongside Oli at multiple festivals around the UK, including Kendal Calling, Secret Garden Party and Shambala. Furthermore, since learning piano and music production at an early age, he oftentimes experiments with piano ideas to create new samples, loops and compositions, adding his unique flair to Mellow by Midnight.

Oli Parker is a trumpet and flugelhorn player known for his distinct improvisational style. Famed for his original trumpet solos over popular songs, he has garnered international recognition and over 400,000 active followers and listeners worldwide. His experience in performing is equal to his love for music production and composition, having studied music technology at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Oli enjoys the whole process of creating a track, from composing and recording ideas, to mixing and mastering the finished product.
He produces and releases original music as a solo artist regularly (occasionally documenting his process on YouTube) whilst simultaneously freelancing as a performer and mix engineer. Oli has extensive experience performing solo and alongside DJs in addition to gigging with multiple West Midlands based ensembles for weddings, festivals and events all over the UK and abroad, including Santorini, Cyprus, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
