We don’t just play our original music! Whether you want background Motown or jazz tunes for a relaxed ambience or full-on party bangers to get everyone out of their seats, we want to accommodate your musical preferences and create unique playlists tailored to your event. Our original music is soft in nature, ideal for drinks receptions and dinners for a more background-music style set. We will blend into the atmosphere whilst being unobtrusive so that no voices need be raised and your occasion is uninterrupted. Flugelhorn used. Wedding parties or special occasions that require a celebration? We know how to turn the energy up to 10 to get the guests dancing and spirits high if you need us to bring the party! We want to give you and your guests an exciting night to remember. Trumpet used. Primarily rooted in lofi, Mellow by Midnight write and perform all original music. Their sonic palette combines elements of jazz and hip-hop (Oli), to future bass and jungle (Fraser), with Oli’s recognisable improvisation style layered on top, creating a soft and mellifluous sound world.

Oli Parker is a trumpet and flugelhorn player known for his distinct improvisational style. Famed for his original trumpet solos over popular songs, he has garnered international recognition and over 300,000 active followers and listeners worldwide. His experience in performing is equal to his love for music production and composition, having studied music technology at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Oli enjoys the whole process of creating a track, from composing and recording ideas, to mixing and mastering the finished product. He produces and releases original music as a solo artist regularly (occasionally documenting his process on YouTube) whilst simultaneously freelancing as a performer and mix engineer. Oli has extensive experience performing solo and alongside DJs in addition to gigging with multiple West Midlands based ensembles for weddings, festivals and events all over the UK and abroad, including Cyprus, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
Fraser Birchenall is a Saxophonist and DJ based in Birmingham better known for his fast paced electronic mixes and raunchy riffs around the UK an Europe. He has a variety DJ residencies up and down the country ranging from Drum and Bass raves in Birmingham's underground music scene, drag nights in Leeds' famous The Wharf venue and high-end restaurants such as The Mayan. As a saxophonist, he has headlined festivals up and down the UK and even in Europe including Kendal Calling, Greenman, Secret Garden Party and Shambala. As a producer, Fraser enjoys pushing sounds to their limit and creating new feeling through music which he applies when writing for Mellow by Midnight. He is also an experienced wedding and events DJ, supplying music to corporate and private parties and events of all budgets and creating an enjoyable, easy and fun atmosphere
